The Impact of the Super Bowl is Greater than the Game

Six months ago, I began listening to the Flying Coach podcast with the head coach of the Rams, Sean McVay, and NFL Network Analyst Peter Shrager. At the time, I was pursuing entrepreneurship and focusing on building my own business.

Fast forward to today, and I’m now pursuing a career in sports, and I’m all in. The Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl run has been an inspiration for me to be a part of the sports movement.

I had the great fortune of attending Super Bowl LVI, and it was the experience of a lifetime. Connecting with fans from all over the US and bonding over an event with a simple ball is powerful.

The Beauty of Sports

Growing up in a small town, the value of community became a part of who I am at a very young age. The sports community has the power of being a bridge during times of so much turbulence in the world.

It’s an opportunity for people to come together and support the work of the athletes and coaches who put countless hours into practicing their craft.

Sports gave me an opportunity to learn the valuable life skills of teamwork, discipline, and doing my best for a mission greater than myself.

The Impact Sports Has On Me

One of my favorite aspects of being human is having the capability to learn. But I never was fond of school, even in college. But looking back, I was always learning how to become a better athlete.

Sports and athletics were my classrooms. The place where I put all of my blood, sweat, and tears into.

After watching the Super Bowl, I was reflecting on the experience that made an impact on me. I want to go all-in on sports.

Playing basketball and baseball growing up has been incredibly influential on who I am as a person. Now I want to give that back by giving back to the next generation of athletes as a coach.

Amazingly, I put two and two together. Listening to the podcast at the beginning of the NFL season and watching the Rams win the Super Bowl gives me the signs to keep moving forward and impacting the world through the power of sport.
